What is Gua Sha?

Gua sha therapy is a practice that originates from Chinese Medicine. It involves “scraping” or applying pressure over different areas of the body, typically with a gua sha tool. The effect of the practice is to provide a deep stretch and release of the connective tissue around tense and tight muscles.

It has been used on the past to reduce pain, inflammation and toxins from the body. It creates movement and flow and typically that will assist with Lymphatic Drainage. Studies have been don on the practice of Gua Sha.

In a 2007 study published in Complementary Therapies in Medicine, it was reported that Gua Sha helps to increase circulation. Another study revealed that it helped to release muscle tension and pain and was used to halt the onset of the common cold.

As a Genius Practitioner, you may want to use one of the gua sha tools made from obsidian or other gemstones and imprint the tool before using it. Here are some suggestions for imprinting frequencies:

  • Lymphatic Drainage Frequencies
  • Skin Regeneration Frequencies
  • Vessel Harmonizing Frequencies
  • Nogiers
  • Solfeggio Tones
  • Bach Flower Essences

Place all of these frequencies into the Main Hold Tray and imprint the Gua Sha tool for 30 minutes.
